Description
Telecommunication maintenance and follow-on services for existing telephone systems at nineteen Department of Veterans Affairs locations within the states of New York and New Jersey commonly referred to VISN 3. Maintenance and follow-on services include, but are not limited to instruments, cable plant, battery backup, system alarms and all interfaced ancillary systems (voice mail, automated attendant, telecommunications management system, etc.). Services will also include telephone system security, documentation, inventory control, preventive maintenance schedule including battery backup system, and establishment of a seven day, twenty-four hour contact center for emergency, routine maintenance and follow-on service. Work includes accomplishing all voice cable connections and additional cable requirements with the exception of Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC) by manufacturer trained VA staff. Offerors must be bona-fide companies dealing in digital and voice PBX telephone systems with systems being maintained within the continental United States. The maintenance and follow-on services under consideration shall be contracted on the basis of one supplier providing all services in the specification including maintenance, and any follow-on service at all sites for the term of the contract. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards under this solicitation in order to provide maintenance and follow-on services coverage for all sites in this document, or if it is in the best interest of the Government to do so. The proposal request package will only be available on the Web. The date for receipt of initial proposals is 2:00 PM EST, March 27, 2003.
