Description
It is the governments? intention to award a Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Quantity Contract to obtain preventive maintenance and repair services for Steam Boiler Control Equipment at the Naval Support Activity (NSA), Building 12, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia Pa. The scope of the work shall include all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to maintain, calibrate, repair and make minor alterations to Steam Boiler Equipment. The work includes the performance of recurring services such as preventive maintenance, periodic operational checks and indefinite quantity work items of service calls, repairs and alterations. Services shall be provided on the following types of equipment: a) 40,000 PPH Boilers, b) 24,000 PPH Boilers, c) Feed water system for boilers, d) Fuel (oil and gas) systems, e) Combustion Air System, f) Level Control System and g) Monitoring System and associated equipment. The contract will contain Service Contract Wages. The Term of the contract will be for a Base Period of 12 months plus four (4) 12 month options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 811219 and the Standard is $6.0 million. Firms interested in this project are required to submit the following documentation electronically to Elizabeth.Staab@navy.mil on or before COB 31 May 2005: (1) a one page corporate summary and expression of interest, (2) a listing of current projects and those completed within the last 5 years similar to the size and specialized scope of this project, (3) identification of the key on-site project superintendent for construction which must have a minimum of five years of experience in this capacity on projects of a similar nature, size and complexity, (4) statement of financial capability and identification of surety, (5) past performance references, including points of contact and current telephone numbers of those who have first hand knowledge of your performance on referenced projects and (6) statement which will identify which type of business concern. Information submitted in response to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any information submitted in response to this announcement. The Government will make a determination upon verification of the documentation submitted as to the capability of the respondents in making the decision whether to advertise this requirement under full and open competition. Information gathered through these responses will be used to determine the feasibility of our anticipated contract structure and to make any necessary adjustments in crafting the final solicitation. 8(a), HubZone and Small Business Concerns are particularly encouraged to provide such expressions of interest since this procurement may be set aside.
