- The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) is contemplating issuing a sole-source contract with Jardon & Howard Technologies (JHT) Inc. for Military Communities and Family Policy Services on an interim period of nine-months (30 June 2005 through 31 March 2006). This interim measure is being taken to prevent a lapse in contract service while a competitive acquisition is planned and executed. The Military Communities and Family Policy Services are programs and initiatives offered by Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Military Community and Family Policy Office (MC&FP) to support a broad range of Quality of Life programs for military service members and their families worldwide. The Military Community and Family Policy Program provides assistance to military members and their families in the following areas: Meetings and Conferences relating to the Quality of Life program, Marketing Services, State and Local Initiatives, Web-based Training Programs, Demographics Reports, Child Care Assistance, Spouse Employment Assistance, Policy Formation and Revision for Military Exchanges, Internet and Portal Support, Consultative and Program Management Services, and Sexual harassment and Assault Services.
