- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement to purchase 2 ea Cummins QSL9 marine engines with a medium continuous rating of 405 HP @ 2100 rpm, full authority electronics, bosch common rail fuel system, and tier 2 certification. Both engines will include ZF 325-1A marine gears with 2.25 - 1 ratio and electric shift; Remove and install engines; Remove and replace 2 diesel fuel tanks, new tanks will be reduced capacity (225 gal each instead of the existing 325 gal); Remove and install new wet exhaust system; Paint bottom, inspect running gear, through hulls, and valves; Remove and replace starboard head system. The boat is located in Benicia Marina, in Benicia CA; a boatyard in the San Francisco Bay area is required for COR availabiity to inspect. The boat is a Hoquiam, dimensions: 53' long, 17' wide and 34 tons.
