- Description
- Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge has a requirement for Native Plant Propagation due to wild fires in Southern Nevada. The Fish and Wildlife Service intends on issuing a one-year Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract with option to extend the term of the contract, for four additional years. Because of their close proximity to the refuge which is important for outplanting success and their specialized experience in growing healthy and well developed seedlings of the native species needed by the Service. The award will be made to The Community College of Southern Nevada (CCSN) for Mojave Desert Plant Propagation. The plants will be procured for emergency stabilization and rehabilitation efforts for burned areas. Competition for this project is being limited to the "affected areas" (i.e., counties) identified pursuant to the waiver of Full and Open Competition approved by the Secretary of Agriculture under 41 USC 253(c)(7), Public Interest. Therefore, award of this contract will be restricted to those firms or individuals who are located in an affected area.
