Description

The purpose of this amendment is to: (1) provide information concerning the numbering of this solicitation; (2) remove the subcontracting plan requirement from RFP W91YU0-05-R-0005 (all solicitation is on file as Attachments; and (3) provide answers to questions put forth concerning this package. See below: Questions: 1- Is this currently being staffed by a contractor, and if so, whom? No incumbent/no current contract. 2- What are the shifts (ie 8, 10, or 12/hrs?) 10 hour 3- Current annual volume. 70,000 4- Description of work states there are 2 residency trained/BC EM physicians for 16/hr day and 3 medical doctors in residency training for 24/hr day. Are FNP or PAs used as well, and if so during what hours? THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL ATTENDING (RT/B C) PHYSICIAN FOR THE OTHER 8 HOURS (SO 1 EM DOC 24 HOURS AND A SECOND FOR 16 OF THOSE HOURS), AND WE HAVE ONE STAFF PA AND ONE TO FOUR EM PA FELLOWS WHO WORK VARIOUS SHIFTS SUPPLEMENTAL TO THE PHYSICIANS AND RESIDENTS. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO GS PA'S SEE ONLY LOWER ACUITY PATIENTS FROM 0700 UNTIL MIDNIGHT. 5- How many beds in the ER 34 INCLUDING 4 BED OBS UNIT, TWO TWO-BAY TRAUMA ROOMS, A FOUR BED CARDIAC BAY AND A FOUR BED BAY GENERALLY USED FOR RESPITORY/PULMONARY PROBLEMS.
