- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quote s are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued . This combined synopsis/solicitation, W52H09-05-T-0001, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02, effective March 23, 2005. This procurement is limited to distributors of Vbrick Systems, Inc. The Government will award a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible low off eror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. Prices are to be FOB DESTINATION to Bldg 299, Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Illinois 61299-5000. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52 .212-1,52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.246-4500, 52.247.-34; 52.0000-4173 DFARS 252.246-7000; A copy of these clauses can be requested from the Contract Specialist listed below. Your attention is directed to FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors - Commercial Items (Jan 2005) paragraph (b)(4) which states: A technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, if necessary; The Government will verify that the offer complies with the requirements of this procurement and the award will be based on low price. NOTE: This requirement is for VBRICK Ethernetv with various hardware components as follows: (1) QTY: 1 ; Part number 8000-0049-0000, Ethernetv-MCS Hardware and Software- Media Control Server; includes Stream Player software, 100 MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 Software decoder licenses and unlimited MPEG-1 software decoder licenses. Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz (or higher) processor, 1 GB RAM and 36GB Hard Drive. (Three year parts and service warranty included with server.) (2) QTY: 1; M1-800000490000, 1 Year Software Maintenance. (3) QTY: 1; Part number 8000-0053-0000, Ethernetv-NXG1 Video On Demand server. DELL 1U platform with a Xeon 2.4GHz (or higher) processor, 1 GB SDRAM, , 10 KRPM SCSI drives for asset storage and a separate 36GB (or larger) Drive for the OS and operational software. External SCSI port, Keyboard and mouse. Three year parts and service warranty is included with hardware. (4) QTY: 1; M1-800000530000, 1 Year Software Mainenance. (5) QTY: 25; Part number 8000-0044-0001, Ethernetv STB for MPEG 1/2/4- Self Booting Set top Box . (6) QTY: 2 ; Part number 9110-4200-0002. MPEG-2 Single Channel Encoder 10/100BT Ethernet with cable kit and remote control. (7) QTY: 2; M1911042000002, 1 Year Software Maintenance. (8) QTY: 2; W3-911042000002, 3 Year Extended Warranty (9) QTY: 4900; Part Number 7400-0110-0100, MPEG-2 Software Decoder Single Client License (10) QTY: 2; Part number 9110-4200-1002, MPEG-2 Single Channel Encoder 10/100BT Ethernet hard Drive with cable kit and remote control. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit as 100% Small Business Set Aside. An offeror must quote on all items in this solicitation to be eligible for award. Quoters/Offerors are required to submit their q uotes for this combined synopsis/solicitation via electronic response to vanherzeelev@ria.army.mil or via fax to 309-782-4998. Quotes/offers to the Government shall be signed by a Member of the Firm Authorized to Bind the Company. This is in accordance wi th Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 4.102. CAUTION: Since this combined synopsis/solicitation and any future amendments are being issued through Fed Biz Ops, it is incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access Fed Biz Ops in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Fail ure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote non-responsive and result in rejection of your quote.
