- Description
- The NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Milford Connecticut Laboratory has a requirement to provide and install seven (7) Emergency Showers/Eyewashes/Facewashes, one (1) hot water heater, ten (10) thermostatic mixing valves and associated plumbing piping at the NMFS Laboratory in Milford, CT. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238220. The small business size standard is $12.0M. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform the following: Furnish and install new thermostatic mixing valves to provide tempered water to existing and new emergency shower/eyewash/facewash fixtures; Furnish and install a new electric hot water heater for the new fixture serving Building 11; Furnish and install new emergency shower/eyewash/facewash fixtures; and Furnish and install new underground water supply line to feed new fixture at Building 11. The requirement has an option item to core drill through the concrete floor and install a drain piping connection to the nearest existing sanitary sewer line including a strainer/grate and a trap for each emergency shower/eyewash/facewash (new and existing) located on the upper two floors of Building 1 and on both floors of Building 2. The performance period will be 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. Copies of the solicitation will be uploaded to this site on or about May 10, 2005. Hard copies of the solicitation and a CD containing drawings and plans will only be provided in response to written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor. A pre-offer site visit will be scheduled at 212 Rogers Avenue, Milford, CT and the date will be posted to this site. Contractors are invited to register at this site as an ?Interested Vendor? and must provide complete mailing address and point of contact information. The proposed contract award is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and is intended for award of a firm-fixed price contract using simplified acquisition procedures. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and obtain a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505. Prospective contractors are also required to complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with the required CCR registration.
