- Description
- Mad River Bridge at Maverick Saddle. The Wenatchee National Forest requires a new steel truss trail bridge to be installed over the Mad River at the Entiat Ranger District, Entiat, Washington. The work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, excavation, fabrication, transportation, and installation of a 50 foot steel truss bridge with wood deck and handrails. Other work includes concrete abutments, wing walls, approach fills, and an optional item to clear and excavate for approximately 150 meters of trail. The period of performance is 120 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotation. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about June 29, 2005. Proposals will be due on or about July 28, 2005. The construction magnitude is between $25,000 to $100,000. SET--ASIDE: This acquisition is subject to a Cascading Set-Aside and evaluation procedures. All potential offerors may submit a proposal for this acquisition. However, set-aside procedures will be used in evaluating offers for an award. Evaluation for award will be conducted in the following set-aside order: 1) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns, 2) Small Business Concerns, and 3) All other interested offerors. In the event two (2) competitive offerors are not received from eligible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns, or if one offer is received from a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern and cannot be awarded at a fair market price, the Contracting Officer may evaluate offers received from Small Business Concerns. If a minimum of two competitive offers from eligible small business concerns are not received, any award from resulting from the solicitation will be made on the basis of full and open competition from all responsible business concerns submitting an offer. NAICS code is 237310, size standard is $28.5 million. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
