- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood the FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Eagle-Picher Technologies, PO Box 47, Joplin, MO 64802-0047, for the delivery of 100 batteries, PN 597.00, for test and evaluation purposes for the US Navy MK 419 MOD 1 Multi Function Fuze. The required battery is based on a design by Diehl of Germany, slightly modified by Eagle-Picher, and is jointly manufactured by Diehl and Eagle-Picher. The North American Industry Classification System code is 33591! 1. The order shall be a firm fixed priced order, FOB Destination. The quotation number is N00178-05-Q-1182. All interested parties shall contact XDS110 at (540) 653-7478 or xds11@nswc.navy.mil and indicate their interest and capability. Quote is due 17 June 2005 no later than 2:00 p.m. (local NSWCDD time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 133, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY/busop.htm. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Quoters ! may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov . Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database.
