Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed price (FFP) follow-on delivery order contract to provide maintenance and storage of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP) in support of the T-2C and T-39D aircraft. In addition, this effort will provide engineering services and drive-in repair services for the Navy?s T-2C and T39D aircraft, until divestiture. The engineering services will include support to the Assistant Program Manager Systems Engineering (APMSE) and/or the Fleet Support Team (FST) in the following services: engineering investigations; Rapid Action Minor Engineering Change (RAMEC) development; Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development; overhaul/rework procedure and/or publication reviews; and manufacture of parts/materials (both stocked-numbered and non-stocked numbered). This contract will include a base year (01 Oct 2005 through 30 September 2006) and four option years (01 October 2006 through 30 September 2010). The period of performance for the option years, if exercised, will commence on 01 October 2006 through 30 September 2007 with the final option year ending 30 September 2010. This contract supports Naval Air Systems Command (NASVAIRSYSCOM), Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA), PMA-273, and PMA-207, and is used to enhance Government engineering capabilities, if needed and to accomplish emergency repair of the T-2C and/or T-39D aircraft, if economically feasible. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Sabreliner Corporation of St. Louis, MO under the authority of FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements). This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed extension based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
