Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VAMC Hampton, Virginia, is looking for firms that have experience in Repair Seawalls, NAICS 237990. Work includes repairing approximately 4,724 lineal feet of bulkhead. The repair work shall include demolition/excavation work and installation of a fiberglass or PFC bulkhead with concrete fill as a facade to protect the integrity of the existing concrete and steel bulkheads. The existing bulkhead is composed of distinct types of bulkhead construction: concrete cantilever walls, steel sheet piling, and concrete sheet piling. The work includes a new security fence with flag holders, new deadmen, new tie-back system, new pilecap and concrete walkways. This is not a request for proposals, but is only seeking information to determine what contractors are available with experience in repairing seawalls. Firms shall submit a list of contracts under which they performed repair of seawalls, including the dollar value of the contracts.
