- The Indian Health Service intends to extend the services for a Senior Specialty Software Developer Services to manage and fully develop improvements to the Health Facilities Data System (HFDS) of the Indian Health Service until the end of FY2005, September 30, 2005. The Department did submit a request for Sole Source until the end of this year. The documentation and reporting needs of the IHS Facilities program are constantly evolving, requiring structural and non-structural modifications to the HFDS, as well as new queries and reports. Recent asset management initiatives and financial audits accentuate the continued need for an in-house software developer familiar with the special business requirements of facilities management within IHS. Provide assistance to IHS staff in assuring the database design will meet all facility program applications, including Federal Financial Accounting Standard 6 and Audit requirements, as well as new asset management initiatives promulgated by the Federal Real Property Council through the implementation of Executive Order 13327. Develop, expand, standardize and streamline various information systems. The work involves the knowledge, mastery of and experience in Microsoft, SQL Server, Access2000, Visual Basic for Access, IHS business structure and rules, and the existing Healthcare Faciities Data System.
