- NSN 7R-1650-01-186-1672, Qty 1, Delivery FOB Origin--The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia will be soliciting a proposal for Performance Based Logistics support of the Leading Edge Flap system of the F/A-18 C/D aircraft from Moog Inc., East Aurora NY. This support includes spares availability, asset repair management, engineering support and other integrated logistics support elements. The requirement encourages pursuit of system reliability improvments through effective configuration and obsolescence management, technology insertion and innovative product and support improvements. Various operational and repair sites will be supported by this effort. Additionally, Moog Inc. will be required to maintain CORE capability i/a/w U.S. code 10 U.S.C. 2464 through depot teaming arrangements with the NADEPs in North Island and Jacksonville.Performance is planned to com mence on 01 OCT 04 and will continue for 5 base years with two 5 year option periods. The 15 year estimated value is $137 million.This requirement isrestr icted to Moog Inc., the original equipment manufacturer, because Moog Inc.is the only source that possesses the full range of technical data, much of which is proprietary, and other capabilities necessary to perform the effort.Further , Moog Inc. is considered to be the only source that is capable of providing the whole range of integrated program support that is required., See Note 22***** NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (17-FEB-2004).
