- The Naval Sea Systems Command wants to conduct a market survey of private industry ship repair firms in accordance with FAR 15.201 to determine industry interest in a seven-year, Cost Plus Award Fee, Multi-Ship Multi-Option contract for repair, maintenance and modernization of LHA 1 and LHD 1 Class ships homeported in, and visiting, San Diego, Ca. This effort will include both dry-docking and non dry-docking work. Interested parties must be able to comply with FAR 16.301-3(a)(1) regarding cost type contract limitations. The requirement will start on or about April 2006 and run through September 2013. To fully explore and evaluate what will be reasonably necessary to accomplish this requirement, and to identify any and all issues, which must be addressed and / or resolved to accomplish the above requirement(s), prospective Offerors are invited to express their interest and comments in writing for this prospective requirement by Wednesday, 22 June 2005 to the following ! address: Naval Sea Systems Command Attn: Duane T.
