PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: The work of Line Item 001 entails saw cutting a 3 foot wide area around building 29 and digging a trench around the building to locate and cap all water lines leading into the building. Line Item 002 consists of the Repair/Replace 12" water main ductile or cast iron pipe adjacent to building 126 on Floyd Bennett Field. Solicitation Number Q1774050013. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price to excavate and cap 12 inch Water Main at Pump Station Building #29 and to repair Water Main at Building # 126 Floyd Bennett Field. Contractors will be required to provide records of past performance on similar jobs. Excavation in the vicinity of water lines and other utilities is required. The contractor's ability to locate the water line and to excavate and repair the line without causing further damage will be a key factor in addition to price in the selection process. LOCATION: Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY 11234. Contract duration is 60 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation. Search by referencing the solicitation number (above), Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Individual requests for solicitation packages will NOT be accepted.
