Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, MD intends to award sole source to N.M. Knight for customized components to Alicat Automated Aerosol Delivery Platform. The contractor shall provide quantity 16, Process Feed Boxes, #MC-30SLPM-D .288/5in, 5M, 52P, close pressure. This is a mass flow controller in 20SLPM flow body with standard 0.50 orifice valve, increase flow pocket depth to 0.288, standard display, standard RS-232 I/O, 0-5Vdc control setpoint signal, 0-5Vdc output of mass flow, secondary 0-5Vdc output of pressure, factory set to close loop on pressure. Operating voltage: 12-24Vdc; Operating pressure drop: 35PSID at 55 PSIG feed; Flow accuracy: +/- 1% of full scale; Tare function: setting the u nit in a pressure loop will change the tare functions of the controller. Best method for tare is sending a digital tare command via RS-232, after commanding the unit to a 0PSIA setpoint; alternate tare method is via the local display. Second item is #MC- 30SLPM-D-.288/5IN, 5M, 52P, quantity 16. This is mass flow controller 20SLPM flow body with standard 0.050 orifice valve, increase flow pocket depth to 0.288, standard display, standard RS-232 I/O, 0-5Vdc control setpoint signal, 0-5Vdc output of mass f low, secondary 0-5Vdc output of pressure, factory set on mass flow. Operating voltage: 12-24Vdc; Operating pressure drop: 35PSID at 55 PSIG feed; Flow accuracy: +/- 1 % of full scale; Tare function: through analog input, send 0SLPM setpoint command; local display. The third item is Process exhaust box: Quantity 16, #MCR-100SLPM-D-30 PSIA / 5IN, 5M, 52P, Range: 30SLPM (V=100LPM), Valve: DS. Mass flow controller in 100SLPM body with low drop valve placed downstream for vacuum operation, with mass range of 3 0SLPM and volumetric range of 100LPM, with 30 PSIA pressure sensor, standard display, standard RS-232 I/O, 0-5Vdc control setpoint signal, 0-5Vdc output of mass flow, secondary 0-5Vdc output of pressure, factory set to close loop on mass flow. Operating v oltage: 24-30Vdc; Operating pressure drop: 2 HG (depending on operating pressures and the effect on the volume of flow); Flow accuracy: +/- 1 % of full scale; Tare function: Through analog input, send 0SLPM setpoint command, via local display. The final item is Communications accessory, quantity 48, # DC-6RT. This is a 6 single-ended 8-pin mini din connector cable with right angle connector to lower overall height of units. May be used to access I/O signals and power the units from a DC source. This i s a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, responses received from other responsible businesses prior to close of business on 21 June 2005 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must provide these services. Please contact the Contract Specialist. Telephonic requests for information regarding this procurement will not be honored.
