Description

****************PRESOLICITATION NOTICE************************** This contract requires tree thinning, snag felling, log skidding and decking, slash piling, and skid trail rehabilitation on the Mt. Adams Ranger District in compliance with its terms, specifications and provisions. This includes furnishing labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals except those items listed as Government-furnished property. Bidders are encouraged to tour and personally evaluate work requirements and conditions. Only by a physical inspection of the work areas can the bidder become aware of existing conditions. Location: The locations of project units will be shown on the vicinity map and individual unit maps (Exhibit C), furnished with this solicitation when it is issued. Access: The project units may be reached by Forest Roads that are accessible by standard pickup during the normal working season. The Forest Service assumes no obligation to plow snow or do special maintenance to keep roads open.
