- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service requires armed guard and K-9 security services for the Ogden Internal Revenue Service Center located at 1160 West 1200 South, Ogden, Utah and associated off-site facility locations within the surrounding area. Services include provision of armed Security Officers (i.e. - fixed post, interior foot patrol, exterior roving patrol (patrolling by means of motor vehicle), and motorized patrol vehicles, to patrol and protect government property from unlawful entry by unauthorized persons into IRS buildings; and Canine (K-9) explosive detection teams and K-9 transport vehicles. The contractor shall provide the management, supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supplies necessary (which includes uniforms, footwear, firearms and ammunition) to provide armed guard security services, in addition to planning, scheduling, coordinating, and assuring effective performance at the Ogden Service Center and associated facility locations. In accordance with Part 19 of the FAR, this procurement has been deemed a total small business set-aside. As such, competition will be limited exclusively to small business concerns. The NAICS Code identified for this procurement is 561612. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price contract that includes a contract term to cover a base period, January 1, 2005 through September 30, 2005, plus up to four 12-month renewal options. The solicitation will be posted electronically on or about September 24, 2004. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document will be posted on the internet at http://www.procurement.irs.treas.gov/. No paper copies of the solicitation or any amendments will be mailed. Please frequently check the website for amendments, as appropriate, to the solicitation. A formal site visit will be scheduled - date to be specified in the solicitation. Only small business sources having relevant contract experience performing similar armed guard security services that are comparable in complexity and magnitude will be considered qualified for award. All responsible, qualified small business sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency.
