E-MAIL: John.e.lynch@navy.mil, kevin.soucy@navy.mil NAICS: 332311 Description: The government is issuing this Request For Information (RFI) as part of the modernization of range training to increase Military Operations and Urban Training (MOUT) and Stability and Support Operations (SASO) capability and effectiveness at the above mentioned Marine Corps installations. PMTRASYS plans to acquire Sniper Training Towers as a Non-Developmental Item (NDI) acquisition. As part of this RFP, the Marine Corps System Command, Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS), releases a DRAFT Statement of Work and DRAFT Systems Requirements Document for industry comment. The vendor should supply comments to the documents indicating ability to meet specified requirements, specific items requiring clarification for responsive industry proposal, and specified requirements which un-necessarily drive system procurement or lifecycle cost. Received comments will be considered by the Government for basis of modification to the subject documents. Comments will not be directly responded to but may be addressed collectively at a future date during or prior to solicitation. This request for comment in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided. It does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. All information provided becomes USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Submissions are due by email to kevin.soucy@navy.mil and LtCol Greg Caldwell at Gregory.Caldwell@navy.mil on or before close of business May 30, 2005. Submissions received after this date may or may not be reviewed.
