MATERIAL: STAINLESS STEEL, FUNCT: DESIGNED TO INJECT PRECISELY METERED FUEL INTO COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF ENGINE, NHA: F110-129 ENG, F16C/D AIRCRAFT. Inspection: Origin. Destination: FMS. Delivery: NLT 31 JAN 06. Quantity: 24. This part must be acquired from approved manufacturing sources only, specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained. Note: Surplus Material ? Only new and unused Government and Commercial Surplus Material may be offered for inspection and possible procurement. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 26 May 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 27 June 2005. The anticipated award date will be apprx 12 July 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Copies of the solicitation must be obtained from the FedBizOpps website. All responsible, approved sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: Selection for award will be determined by the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable evaluation method. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
