- Defense Information Services Agency intends to award a sole source purchase order to Data Security Inc., 729 Q St. Lincoln, NE 68508-1331 for one each HD-IT Degausser, Part #951-0000 and 3 each 6-month certifications in accordance with FAR 13.106-1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. Data Security Inc. is the only known responsible source at this time. North American Industry Classification System Code 334419 and Size Standard not to exceed 500 employees apply to this procurement. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. The anticipated award date is 24 May 05. Contractors will submit quotes for the following item: CLIN 0001, 1 each, HD-IT Degausser, Part #951-0000. Price includes shipping, a 90 day maintenance agreement, three, six-month certifications and less trade-in of HD-6000, SN 6094. This degausser must meet DoD specifications for purging classified sensitive information from hard disk media up to 5000 Oe including floppy disks, zip disk, jazz disks, and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters. Deguassers must meet specifications for purging all classified/sensitive information from tape media up to 2500 Oe including FLT III, DLT IV, SuperDLT, LTO, LTO-2, 8mm, DDS1, DDS2, DDS3, S-VHS, D-9, DVCam and VHS. Deguassers must be listed in the NSA Approved Degaussers Products List (DPL) as meeting these requirements. They must accept hard drives to 1 inch high by 4 inches wide by 5.8 inches long. FOB destination and delivered to National Assessment Group, 2251 Wyoming Blvd. SE, Kirtland AFB, N.M. 87117-5609. Delivery is 90 days after receipt of order. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror--Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the Government, price, past performance, and other factors considered. The clause at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation and offerors must include a completed copy of this provision with quotes. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses cited are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.222-19, child Labor-Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies, FAR 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities, FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses cited, are applicable to this solicitation: DFARS 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The provision at FAR 52.215-1, Instructions to Offerors--Competitive Acquisitions applies to this solicitation. All quoters wishing to submit a quotation are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Numbered Note #22 applies to this acquisition.
