Description

Ensuring an adequate supply of influenza vaccine is critically important for protecting the public's health. The National Immunization Program (NIP) requires the award of one or more contracts for the purchase of monovalent influenza vaccine bulk concentrates for the 2005-2006 influenza season. To encourage additional manufacturers to enter the U.S. influenza vaccine market, CDC will award contract to manufacturers that intend to enter the U.S. influenza vaccine market, rather than to manufacturers that already produce FDA licensed vaccine.
