Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a competitive basis for procurement of: MIL-L-85762A NVIS GREEN A FLUORESCENT TUBE FILTER MODIFICATION KITS FOR A MIL-F-16377/8 (aka SYMBOL 331.1), MIL-F-16377/11 (aka SYMBOL 77.4), or a MIL-F-16377/12 (SYMBOL 333.1) FLUORESCENT LIGHT FIXTURES. This item will be referred to from here on as the 24? NVD filter kit. This kit is a 24? fluorescent light tube modification kit, which makes the fixture compatible with night vision devices (NVDs). It consists of a sleeve of filter material that slides over the fluorescent light tube, and comes with end caps and pin ?O? rings to prevent light leakage at the ends. The kit material filters out the non-compatible light wavelengths with NVG devices. NAWCAD is looking to place a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for a minimum quantity of 550 units and a maximum quantity of 10,000 over a five year period. The first required delivery date will be NO Later Than 30 days after contract award. NAWCAD is looking to procure a commercial off-the-shelf non-developmental item that is capable of meeting the requirements listed in the solicitation. As part of the source selection, Bid Sample testing will be required prior to Contract Award. The Government reserves the right to request the Bid Samples as part of the proposal. The offeror shall be responsible for providing, at their expense, a Bid Sample of the 24? NVD filter kit. All test procedures to be performed will be outlined in the solicitation. Bid Samples may be returned at the request of the bidder, and a copy of the test results of the offeror?s sample will be available to the bidder if requested. The solicitation N68335-05-R-0099 will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select ?Doing Business? and then ?Open Solicitations.? Look for amendments on the web page. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web, on or about 13 June 2005.
