- This acquisition is set-aside for Indian-owned and controlled concerns in accordance with the Buy Indian Act (25 USC 47). The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, profit and overhead necessary to install approximately 6,121/LF of 6" PVC water main; 6/EA connections to existing water main; 5/EA 6-inch gate valves; 5/EA fire hydrant assemblies; 2,754/LF of water service pipe; 15/EA 1-inch water meter assemblies; removal of existing gate valves and fire hydrant assemblies; 90/LF of 16" casing pipe; 5/EA well abandonment; 2/EA pumphouse abandonment; 2,200/SY of seeding; 100/SY of asphaltic resurfacing; 1,050/SY of gravel resurfacing; new water system controls, including approximately 4,242/LF of control cable; remote monitoring system; control panel; telephone connection; probe system and all necessary appurtenances for a complete and operational system. The project is located in and around the community of McCoy Lake, on the Spokane Indian Reservation, Stevens County, Washington. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance is approximately 160 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Liquidated damages shall apply. The BUY AMERICAN ACT APPLIES. Indian preference in hiring, suppliers, and subcontractors is required, including meeting Spokane Tribal employment ordinances. Solicitation documents will be available APPROXIMATELY June 13, 2005.
