- The purpose of this modification to the initial presolicitation notice is to correct the lifecycle costs. The revised lifecycle costs of the current 8x26 buoy are estimated to be $25,000.00. The life expectancy of the current buoy is 24 years, and this lifecycle cost amount includes an initial purchase price of $13,057.00 (Valid until September 30, 2005) in year 0 and three shoreside overhauls (blasting, metalwork, repainting) in years 6, 12, and 18 at a cost of approximately $4,000.00 per overhaul. There are no applicable disposal costs or credits applicable in year 24 with the current buoy.
