- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego) intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract with a firm fixed price pricing arrangement to EDO Corporation, Antenna Products and Technologies Business Unit, Bohemia, NY. SSC San Diego intends to acquire, on a sole source basis, AS-2867A/SRR shipboard antennas to be built in accordance with Government provided drawing packages. The AS-2867A is a modified version of EDO Corporation's AS-2867 Antenna. The ordering period is anticipated to be five years duration. This procurement will be conducted using other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.) EDO Corporation is the only manufacturer who has produced this item and has gained specialized knowledge and manufacturing experience the value of which would not be recovered through competition. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available. Numbered note 22 applies.
