- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is soliciting offers for 2 each portable marine cable winches; one of the units will be an option to purchase the second winch within 40 days after inspection and acceptance of the first unit delivered. NAICS code 333923 applies with a size standard of 500 employees. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12 simplified commercial acquisition procedures. When issued, the RFQ (request for quote) will be posted electronically on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to jwalls@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from ! the Keyport website. When issued on or about 25 May 2005, the RFQ (solicitation package) will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil and will be available for download via NUWC Division Keyport website (http://www-keyport.kpt.nuwc.navy.mil/NECO/Solicitation.htm). Award will be made on, or about 7 June 2005. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. Any questions should be submitted in writing via the fax number provided above or e-mailed to jwalls@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, and (3) ensu! re current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov). Numbered note 1 applies.
