- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to procure on a competitive basis five (5) each 40 foot long by 10 foot wide Floating Marine Ship Separators and two (2) each 20 foot long by 10 foot wide Floating Marine Paint Camels. Options quantities for fifteen (15) each and two (2) each respectively shall be included. This solicitation shall be solicited as 100% Small Business Set Aside. SIC Code 332312. Number of employees 500. Solicitation shall open approximately 13 June 2005 and close 13 July 2005. The separators are used to separate hulls of nested ships or submarines and prevent contact while mooring. The paint camels allow the ships crew to clean and paint the ship's side down close to the waterline when the ship is moored alongside a wharf, pier or another ship. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit proposals to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, 5001 South Broad Street! , Philadelphia, PA 19112-1403. The solicitation will be issued electronically via the NECO website.
