- This is a sole source combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Government intends to solicit negotiate and issue a firm fixed-price contract to Adaptive Digital Systems, 20322 SW Acacia Street, Newport Beach, CA 92660-1702, under the authority of FAR 6-302-1 -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) are listed below. CLIN Description Qty U/I 0001 RD-674B - DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER 2 Each Adaptive Digital Systems, Inc. (ADS) has been the provider of the shipboard digital voice recorders over the past eight years via contract N00421-00-D-0344. As such, ADS is uniquely qualified to provide the requirement equipment for this installation as it meets all form, fit, and functional requirements and serves as a direct one-for-one replacement of the existing legacy recorder. The ADS RD-674B recorder-reproducer is the only recorder-reproducer that meets all interface design requirements as a replacement for the existing legacy system. The applicable NAICS is 334290 and the small business size standard is 750 Employees. Award is expected to be 20 JUNE 2005. All items shall be delivered to Receiving Officer, NAWCAD; Bldg. 8115, Villa Rd.; St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010. All CLINs shall be delivered within 3 weeks After Date of Order. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard warranty normally offered in a similar sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government?s rights under the Inspection clause, nor does it limit the Governments rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. The warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverable listed in the schedule. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (Jan 2005) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Jan 2005) (E.O. 11246) with its proposal. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items (Oct 2003) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition.
