The U.S. Geological Survey, NEIC (National Earthquake Information Center), Golden, Colorado has a requirement for non-personal services to participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of ANSS (Advance National Seismic System) real-time product related processing systems. These tasks involve: 1) On-going development and enhancements to ShakeCast, short for ShakeMap Broadcast; 2) ShakeCast maintenance, operations, and user coordination; 3) Aid in developing a new system call Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response (PAGER); and 4) Validation and publicizing these systems with contributions to publications as well as user and programmer documentation. The Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation No. 05CRSS0013 will be electronically available on or about June 20, 2005 with written responses due within 30 days of the issue date. Interested parties may access a copy or download the document by going to www.ideas.nbc.gov. Telephone requests for a hard copy of the solicitation will not be accepted. Interested parties must be registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration) to be considered for a contract award. To register or learn more about the CCR go to: http://www.ccr.gov. The USGS anticipates awarding a one year basic contract with two twelve month option years. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business. Note 1 and Note 26 apply.
