Description
Modification to submission posted on FedBizOpps on May 10, 2005 is modified as follows: Quotes are due June 7, 2005. The Economic Price Adjustment clause is replaced in its entirety by the following: Contract rates will be adjusted annually, when the contract is renewed, in accordance with the following to reflect increase or decreases in the cost of performance of the contract work. Adjustments of rates will be based on changes in the folloiwng price indices: (a) The Average of: (1) The Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Priced Index for all urban consumers (all items). (2) The Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index for urban wage earners and clerical workers (all items). The newly adjusted rates will become effective annually upon renewal of the contract. The new rates will reflect the changes in the indices over the 12 calendar month period ending 45 days immediately prior to the annual adjustment. The rates will be derived by multiplying the average percentage change in the indices times the current contract rate. The result will be added to or subtracted from the contract rates to become the newly adjusted rates. The rates (rounded to the next dollar)to be adjusted as indicated herein are: All hourly priced rates listed in the Schedule of Items. ECONOMIC PRICE ADJUSTMENT ? STATE WORKER?S COMPENSATION INSURANCE Contract unit prices may be adjusted at the time an option is exercised, to reflect general increases or decreases in State Worker?s Compensation insurance rates for the categories of labor applicable to this contract. The Contractor shall submit a current statement showing rates charged per $100 gross payroll to the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days after receipt of a written request. Adjustments will be limited to increases or decreases in the general rates only, exclusive of any modifier applicable to an individual Contractor and shall not include any amount for general and administrative cost, profit, or overhead. Example: Unit Price = $300.00 Percent of Unit Price Affected (wages, excluding payroll taxes) = 50% Percent increase in Worker?s Compensation Rate = New rate per $100 gross payroll ($48.00) ? Previous rate per $100 gross payroll ($40.00) $300 X $48.00 - $40.00 X .50 100 = $12.00 New Unit Price = $312.00
