- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following Commercial item: One (1) 10 W Yb doped fiber amplifier Statement of Work: Optical power: with 1 mW of CW optical power at 1055 - 1075 nm wavelengths 40 MHz linewidth input signal provides 10 W of CW output power Polarization Maintaining TEM00 Gaussian beam Bench top Turn-Key unit operating from 120 VAC wall plug Adjustable output power Fiber input: FC/APC connector Free space output: collimated beam (sealed collimator to prevent damage from contaminants) GPIB computer interface for power control The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 423490 and 100, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNG05109734Q is on or about May 23, 2005 with an anticipated quotation due date of June 14, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
