- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, Bremerton (FISCPS), WA intends to solicit and award a Firm Fixed-Price, services type contract to perform alterations on YON 321 and 322 Fuel Barges. This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12 and 13.5. Solicitation will follow and will be posted at NECO, at www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336611 with a small business standard size of 1,000 employees. Requirement is for services for mechanical and electrical modification on the YON-321 and YON-322 Fuel Barges. These vessels are located at the main fuel pier of the Manchester Fuel Depot, Manchester, Washington, herein referred to as MFD. The project work site may be at either MFD or the contractor?s shipyard within a 175 mile driving distance from MFD. If the work is to be performed at the contractor?s shipyard, the contractor is responsible for arranging towing with transportation insurance in the amount of at least US$2.5 million. The YON-322 work shall be completed first in the sequence for off-site work. Statement of Work for this services requirement will be posted at NECO website. The contractor shall be required to schedule work under this contract within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of the contract award and upon notification to proceed performance of services or by an agreed upon date. Period of Performance end date is within 120 calendar days from the start date. All responsible sources that may be able to deliver the minimum requirement may submit a quote, which shall be considered by FISCPS. This is only a synopsis of the requirement. A solicitation will be posted at NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Electronic submission of quotes is not available at this time. Contractors must be approved and registered in Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov ) before award can be made. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from the NECO website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed.
