Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, H. John Heinz, III Progressive Care Center, Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215 has a requirement to build a computer data building attached to Building 32 in accordance with the plans and specifications for Project #646-363. Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, fire protection systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Work will include approximately 5,000 SF of renovations and 10,000 SF of new building, designed to house a consolidated computer room function. The construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with the small business size standard of $28.5 million. A pre-bid conference is anticipated on or about (o/a) July 7, 2005. Although not mandatory, all bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Bid opening will be o/a July 27, 2005. Solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Solicitation will be issued o/a June 20, 2005 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL's: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2000 format. Hard copy requests must be in writing submitted to Lynne Dickerhoff (04A1-H), VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 and MUST be accompanied by a non-refundable check in the amount of $75.00 made payable to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available ONLY at the website. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website.
