- SOLICITATION DESCRIPTION The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141, is soliciting for the construction of a Modular Building to house MRI equipment that will be located in Brecksville. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. There will be a pre-bid conference June 15, 2005 at 1:30 PM EST, in Building 1, 1st Floor, Room A104. Pre-bid attendees shall RSVP no later than June 10th 2005 by contacting Richard Dahmen at Richard.Dahmen@med.va.gov. Bids are due on June 22nd, 2005 at 1:30 PM EST, in Building 1, 1st Floor, Room A104. The Government intends to award a firm-fix-price contract. The period of performance shall be 60 days from the Notice to Proceed issue date. Plans will be available for inspection without charge at www.cityblue@cityblueprinting.com in the plan room of this website. Solicitation, which will include specifications and plans, shall be available for a fee of $50.00 by contacting Lonnie Sims, City Blue at 216-241-7344. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to perform work to construct a Modular Building that will house a 3.0T MRI Unit being provided by the Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, from Philips medical systems as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes construction, delivery and installation of a modular unit to house a 3.0T MRI Unit. Work includes all RF shielding, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and finishes within the modular unit. Work also includes the pre-installation of certain pieces of equipment furnished by Philips Medical Systems. RF Shielding is to be tested before shipping and after installation at site. Foundations and site work including connecting link, and site utilities will be by others. Building size shall be 60? by 14?. All work shall be in accordance with solicitation and shall require close coordination with Philips Medical Systems. Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between 250K-500K.
