Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Activity, Augusta, Georgia is currently seeking sources (specifically small businesses) to provide installation and repair of Wheelchair/Scooter Lifts and Hitches Service for the beneficiaries of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 7 Medical Centers located in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Contractor shall be qualified to perform installation, removal, cleaning, repair and storage of Lifting Devices and/or Mounting Systems. All work shall generally be performed at contractor?s facility, however repairs may be performed at other locations if the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officer Technical Representative has granted prior approval. Contractor must be accredited by the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) and maintain that accreditation for the life of the contract. Contractor must be certified in the installation of the lifts and/or hitches manufactured under the brand names of Harmar, Bruno, World Wide, Wheelchair Carrier, Inc., and Silverstar. Contractor must be certified by manufacturer to perform services as indicated. Contractor is required to possess all necessary permits and/or licenses required in the performance of these services. The NAICS Code is 336399 with a size standard of 750. Responses to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists in the small business community in order to set this procurement aside for small business concerns. The anticipated release date for this solicitation package is June 10, 2005. All interested parties please provide documentation of accreditation and certification, detailed qualification, statement of capabilities and pertinent information about your business. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs reserves the right to solicit this service as appropriate.
