Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division, intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to acquire a Hampden Engineering Corporation (Hampden) Model Series 100 Fractional Horsepower Machine Set, consisting of the following items: MGB-100-DG Two Machine Bedplate (30 each), DM-100A DC Machine (30 each), SM-100-3 Synchronous Machine (30 each), DCVA-100 DC Volt/Ammeter (5 each), RLC-100 Resistance/Reactance Load (6 each), and ACVA-100 AC Volt/Ammeter (7 each). The items are components of an existing Hampden bench top motor generator training system, used to teach electrical power technology, at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. The proposed contract action is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), sole source acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within five (5) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code and size standard are 335999 and 500 employees, respectively. Numbered Note 22 applies.
