- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center intends to acquire 1 Video Extensometer. Detailed specifications will be made available with formal request for quote. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N66604-05-Q-3821. A firm fixed price order is anticipated. It is expected to place a purchase order with Instron Corp. They are the only known source because they consider all aspects of their hardware, software, and measurement systems and any information about them and ?the right to use information?, to be proprietary. FOB Destination Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. Required delivery is 10 weeks from the date of award. NAICS code is 334519 ; size standard is 500 employees. Estimated RFQ release date is May 23, 2005. Offers must be received by 2:00 p.m. on May 31, 2005. Offers received after this date are late and will not be considered for award.
