Description
Concept, Technical and System Development and Demonstration ? Minerva Project. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to negotiate and award a Modification to this contract on an other-than-competitive basis with the The Copernicus Group of Washington DC, Minerva work under this Contract is exploring the feasibility of deriving a new family of weapons and sensors from a mathematical construct known as Grid TheoryTM, which was developed by and remains proprietary to the Copernicus Group, Inc. in Washington DC. Under this Modification to the contract, the Contractor will continue the research and development implications and applications of Grid Theory? to current and future systems as a main thrust for the remainder of FY2005 and through the second quarter of FY2006. Methodologies for the implementation of Grid TheoryTM and its implications for other programs are collectively referred to as NorthStar. The Contractor will further develo! p the concept of Grid TheoryTM and develop concepts of operation (CONOPS) for Grid TheoryTM in parallel with initial partnering and implementation options that synchronize with NAVAIR Weapons Division functions. Among the applications of such new instruments may be legacy programs as well as planned programs that may be favorably impacted in a number of ways. This Modification will increase the level of effort by approximately 4850 hours and extend the existing contract from 31 Dec 05 through 31 March 06. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than from the source listed, will be required to submit information in writing to verify their prior experience in relevant concept and system development and demonstration.
