- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to place a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-04-G-0003 to incorporate modifications to the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) E-2C aircraft through the Foreign Military Sales program. The delivery order will be issued to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 600 Grumman Road West, Bethpage, NY on a sole source basis. The delivery order will procure vapor cycle conversion kits and installation kits to upgrade the JASDF Group 0 mission equipment to the Hawkeye 2000 Export configuration. Spares will also be procured to support Japan?s Hawkeye 2000 Export upgrade. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer and systems integrator of the E-2C aircraft and weapons system and, as such, is the only firm with knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to provide the required supplies and services in a timely manner for the purposes of meeting Japan?s upgrade program schedule.
