- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, 820 Chandler Street, Frederick MD intends to negotiate a follow-on SOLE SOURCE procurement with Agencourt Bioscience Corporation. The contractor will provide services, materials, facilities, and eq uipment to continue scientific support to maintain continuity Construction and End Sequencing of the Broad-Host-Range Cosmid Library. Due to prior participation, established agreements, and the need to maintain compatibility and consistency of approach t he current contractor is the only acceptable source to continue to serve as a partner with the Government for this requirement. The existing partnership has resulted in a working relatinship with established agreements that would have to be redeveloped, i ncurring unnecessary loss of time and expense to the Government. Competitive bidding would result in significant, project delays, would require duplication of cost of the government, and would not result in cost savings. This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, statements of capability to fulfull this requirement received from other responsible businesses prior to close of business on 2 June 05 will be evaluated.
