Description
This is a market survey to locate sources to provide an anechoic chamber/microwave-measurement system. Contractor shall furnish all personnel, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide and install an anechoic chamber in the Electrical Engineering Department at the US Air Force Academy. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. If you are a potential source interested in participating in this procurement, please submit a written response to the attention of Debra McCraw or Linett Lo Manto, Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Dr., Suite 200, USAF Academy CO 80840-2315 with a capability statement which includes (1) How long you have been in business (2) Duns & Bradstreet number (3) Are you a small or large business (4) Have you ever performed this type of contract (5) Have you ever performed government contracts. The requirement is as stated: The anechoic chamber portion of the system must consist of a main rectangular chamber with inside shield-to-shield dimensions of 13 ft. (W) x 14 ft. (H) x 34 ft. (L) and an add-on section of 14 ft. (W) x 14 ft. (H) x 13 ft. (L), including installation, shielding and shielding components, absorber, and two access doors. The shielding must be tested to MIL STD 285 at 1GHz. The system must include an antenna mast that extends from 1m above the floor to 3m above the floor and be automatically controlled from outside the chamber by a sync/controller. In addition, a tabletop must be supplied for the ?anechoic? from 700MHz to 18GHz. The guaranteed reflection level must be better than 30dB at frequencies above 700 GHz and 50dB above 10GHz. In preparation for the installation of the anechoic chamber, the existing one must be disassembled and removed by the suppler. In addition, the following test-equipment items must be provided: 2-8 GHz, 200-W TWT RF amplifier 8-18 GHz, 200-W TWT RF amplifier 1-18 GHz, 20-W TWT RF amplifier 26MHz to 3GHz Biconical antenna Radiometric Merlin Mid infrared camera including ThermaGRAM digital acquisition system and frame grabber, 50-mm and 25-mm f/2.3 MWIR lens, and all associated cables and software required for full functionality. Antenna mast with automatically controllable height through a device controller. Multi-axis positioning system controllable through a drive controller including 3-D antenna-pattern measurement software. Associated operating and programming manuals. National Instruments IEEE-488.2 GPIB controller installed in USAFA-owned XP computer. 18-GHz rated RF cables and GPIB cables for system integration. Standard-gain antennas covering from 2GHz to 5GHz. Biconical antenna covering from 30MHz to 3GHz. The entire system must be provided as a single-source integrated turnkey system.
