- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 811219, Size Standard $6M . Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2BBAE5129A200 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-3 effective April 11, 2005. The Government intends to award one contract line item number (CLIN 0001) for _ maintence on Two (2) Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMS). The first , a JOEL 840 SEM, is used to perform imaging and chemical analysis of samples. The second is a JEOL 840A SEM used to perform electron beam lithography. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) a. The contractor shall maintain two JEOL Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs) at performance level equal to the original specifications on a fixed fee basis. b. Preventative Maintence Visits- Two preventative maintenance visits per year shall be provided, during which a qualified field service engineer will perform a complete calibration and perform required maintence, repairs, and parts to maintain orginal operation performance. c. Emergency Visits- Unlimited emergency calls will provided when a malfunction imposes severe operational restriction. The emergency call will be handled by an on site visit, telephone diagnostics, parts shipment, or a combination thereof. QUANTITY: 1. UNIT OF MEASURE: YR.
