Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina is in need of a contractor to completely prepare the site for building operations including demolition and removal of existing structure and furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation and qualified supervision to remove the existing 400KW/500KVA generator and install a new generator of the same size. The contractor installing the diesel-engine generator set shall be responsible for satisfactory total operation of the system and its certification. Contractor shall have had experience with three or more installations of systems of comparable size and complexity in regards to coordinating, engineering, testing and supervising. Each of these installations shall have been in successful operation for three or more years. All work performed by this project must meet all applicable codes and be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Bidding material will be available on/about June 7, 2005. The official plan holders list can be printed from the web sit only. All prospective offerors and plan centers are encouraged to register as plan holders on the web site. Amendments/notice to the solicitation, if any, will be posted to the web. The web will be the only method of distributing the solicitation. It is the offerors responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments/notices to the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. The cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NAICS: 238210. Size Standard: $12.0. THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. NO TELEPHONE REQUEST FOR BIDDING MATERIAL WILL BE ACCEPTED.
