- Description
- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for services related to hosting the Caribbean Management Conference. The seminar will be held June 20-24, 2005 in the St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The acquisition will be conducted through the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. ?Simplified Acquisition Procedures?. A solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for Request for Proposal is DEA-05-CFD-0022. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 721110. The Small Business Size is $6.0 million. The hotel shall make available 41 sleeping rooms, June 20-24, 2005, and an additional 21 sleeping rooms for guest speakers for one or two nights, June 20-24, 2005. The hotel shall provide the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), one (1) Meeting room, June 20-24, 2005 and a small room next to the meeting room to be used as office. Two tables, chairs, and two outside telephone lines will be required in this room. The meeting room shall be made available 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 through June 24, 2005. The room shall be reserved exclusively for DEA?s use June 20-24, 2005 in order to keep equipment set up and secured. The conference room and office will be locked nightly and all housekeeping will only be permitted at the close of the days? class. The meeting room shall seat 50 people u-shape class room style. The hotel shall provide water service and daily cleaning. The hotel shall provide A.M. breaks which consist of light refreshments and beverages for June 21 through June 24, 2005. The A.M. breaks shall be 10:30 a.m. The hotel shall provide catering for a buffet type working luncheon on June 22, 2005 at 12:00 noon. The hotel shall be located 1 to 4 blocks radius of a variety of restaurants. The hotel shall provide complimentary parking spaces for a minimum of seven vehicles from 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 through Friday, June 24, 2005. All quotes must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. (eastern time) on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 to the Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Acquisition Management, 2401 Jefferson Davis Highway, Alexandria, VA 22301, Attn: Ghazala Shabnam, Contract Specialist. All communications concerning this announcement must be in writing and received by 3:00 p.m. eastern time, no later than 7 calendar days after the publication date of the notice.
