- This acquisition is set-aside for Indian-owned and controlled concerns in accordance with the Buy Indian Act (25 USC 47). The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, profit and overhead necessary to install approximately 1,606/LF of 8-inch sewer main replacement; 901/LF of new SDR-35, 8-inch sewer main; 187/LF of 4-inch and 6-inch sewer service line and connection to existing sewer service line; 8-inch x (4-inch through 6-inch) PVC gravity sewer main saddles; 9/EA sewer manholes; removal of 8/EA sewer manholes; capping of the 8-inch sewer main at 6 locations; 2/LS complete sewer main connection; 1/LS water main connection 6-inch to 4-inch; 1/EA 8-inch gate valves and repair coupling; 4/LS water service connection and meter assembly - 1-inch; 300/SY of 4-inch asphalt patch and repair; 1/EA fire hydrant assembly and repair coupling; 1/LS replace water tank level indicator, 1/LS mob and demob and all necessary appurtenances for a complete and operational system. The project is located on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation, Nez Perce County, Lapwai, Idaho and North Lapwai Community, Idaho. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance is approximately 95 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Liquidated damages shall apply. The BUY AMERICAN ACT APPLIES. Indian preference in hiring, suppliers, and subcontractors is required, including meeting Nez Perce Tribal employment ordinances. Solicitation documents will be available APPROXIMATELY June 8, 2005.
