- NIOSH, Pittsburgh Research Laboratory, Rock Safety Engineering Branch, intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Engineering Seismology Group Canada Inc., for additional Paladin 24-bit Recorder with 6 Seismic channels, GPS Receiver, external GPS, Large Enclosure, Ethernet Spread Spectrum Radio with antenna, Solar Power with panels, Paladin components HNAS, and Triaxial Geophone GS-15. Engineering Seismology Group Canada Inc. is the manufacture of the items which are components of ESG?s proprietary microseismic system. NIOSH already owns one of these ESG systems and needs to expand the existing NIOSH system from four geophones to six triaxial geophones. Compatibility is essential. We are not aware of any distributors for this equipment, however, through this announcement, alternate sources are being offered the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to provide the product specifically identified above. Capabilities are to be received in the contracting office no later than fifteen (15) days from the date of this announcement, May 23, 2005.
