- Combined synopsis/solicitation The Tongass National Forest is seeking quotes for furnishing delivery of three quarter inch minus D1 aggregate and 3 inch minus crushed aggregate to the Herbert Glacier Trailhead near Juneau Alaska. Gravel staging area will be provided in a designated section of the parking lot and due to the limited area will require (an average of) weekly deliveries (Monday through Friday) on an on-call basis provided a full 3-day notice is given by the COR. The project period will occur between June 1 and November 30, 2005. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration, 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (the following clauses are checked as included: 52.219-6, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-3, 52.232-33, and 52.232-33). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. This acquisition is totally set-aside for small business concerns, NAICS 423320. SCHEDULE OF ITEMS: 1. Delivery of 800 cy of three quarter inch D1 aggregate and 275 cubic yards of 3 inch minus crushed aggregate to the Herbert Glacier Trailhead on-call and in multiple states. LUMP SUM: $____________ 2. Per cubic yard cost of UP TO 800 additional cubic yards of three quarter inch minus D1 aggregate delivered to the project site. LUMP SUM: $__________ 3. Per cubic yard cost of UP TO 275 additional cubic yards of 3 inch minus crushed aggregate delivered to the project site. LUMP SUM: $__________ Quotes may be submitted on vendor's letterhead stationary and may be mailed to USDA Forest Service, Contracting ATTN: Tonya Rymer, 648 Mission St., Federal Bldg., Ketchikan, AK. 99901 or sent via FAX to (907) 228-6241. Quotes must be submitted not later than 3:00 p.m. (Alaska time) on May 31, 2005. Quotes must also include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items. An offer will be made to the contractor whose quote represents the best overall value to the Government, price and other factors considered, including the ability to meet delivery specifications.
