Description
The Human Systems Group, HSG/YA at Brooks City-Base intends to enter into sole source negotiations and award a Firm-Fixed Priced contract to Koch & Sons, 5410 E. Las Palmas Ave., Anaheim, CA 92807-2099. Items required are as follows: L/I 0001 - 2nd Gen. Koch B-1B and B-2 Aircraft (Kit-A) NSN: 1670-K-140-0497AMH, L/I 0002 ? 2nd Gen. Koch F-15 Aircraft (Kit-B) NSN: 1670-K-140-0497BMH, and 0003 2nd Gen. Koch Harness (Kit - H) NSN: 1670-K-1400494AMH. NACIS code is 336413 with 1000 employees. Best Estimated Quantities are L/I 0001 - 456, L/I 0002 - 787, and L/I 0003 ? 1768. Delivery is FB2065, Warner Robins AFB. The modified 2nd generation Koch parachute release system connects the pilot to the emergency personnel parachute assembly. This flight safety critical item must withstand the extreme G-forces of a high speed ejection, parachute deployment, and parachute descent. After the parachute landing, the adapter shall require no more than 15 pounds of force (under any load) to disengage. The following info is provided: Size/Dimensions: Approximately 3 inches by 2.375 inches by 1.25 inches. Form, Fit and Function ? Disengage from the parachute using no more than 15 pounds of force to disengage. Predominate Material: Stainless Steel with subdued black Nickel finish. Delivery is 180 days from date of contract award. FOB Origin. Drawings are proprietary and not available to the government. The contractor shall furnish all plant facilities, labor, equipment, special tools, test equipment, and materials. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Firms possessing the capabilities to meet this requirement are invited to submit an airworthiness certification from the applicable aircraft chief engineer, enclose relevant test plans and independent laboratory test data, product information or catalogues, current GSA or other schedule information (if applicable) and price list or schedule. Formal responses to this announcement should also detail the experience, capabilities, and any rights to proprietary drawings. See notes 22 and 26.
